The 32-year-old woman miraculously survived when the snow broke her from the mountain in the Falkert resort in Carinthia, the press reported.
Her 27-year-old partner tried to grab her, but he took a crash himself, climbing 50 meters through the air before grabbing a ledge and holding on to his dear life, the Sun reported, citing Bild.
A passer-by rescued the unconscious woman, while her fiancé, who was suffering from a fractured vertebra, was rescued by a helicopter.
Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
“The two were extremely lucky. If it hadn’t been snow, it would have been very different, “said a police officer on the spot.
