Meghan McCain reveals that she returns on Monday as co-host of The View: “Did I miss anything during maternity leave?!?”
She frequently found herself in the hot seat amid the various controversial debates in her morning show.
And on Wednesday, Meghan McCain announced her return to The View after going on maternity leave to have her daughter Liberty.
The 36-year-old daughter of late Republican politician John McCain took to Twitter to announce the move, writing: “It’s almost time … I’m so excited to take my place as the Conservative behind the Hot Topics table. (practically) @TheView Monday!

“Did I miss anything during maternity leave?!?” she added.
To keep things playful, McCain added a Christina Aguilera gif to The Voice with the caption “Mom came to play.”
Meghan left her host duties on the ABC show, co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro, in late summer, before the birth of her daughter in September.

It has been widely speculated that the Conservative expert will not return to the show, as she often enters into a heated and sometimes bitter debate with the other speakers on the show.
There were even reports that all the other hosts stopped talking to Meghan backstage.
But she commented directly on the issue in August, leaving no doubt about her intention to return.

Like all other shows, The View has had to change its format considerably this year in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The episodes were filmed for most of the year, but the show’s twitter account announced that McCain will be in the studio on Monday “when @TheView returns LIVE for our first show in 2021!”

Meanwhile, Meghan recently posted rare photos on social media, after remaining largely private about her child’s behavior earlier this year.
McCain gave birth to Liberty Sage, her first child, on September 28 with her husband Ben Domenech.
The couple has been married since 2017.
