Gabrielle Union admits that she retires to the bathroom to get time alone from her two-year-old daughter, Kaavia, her husband Dwyane Wade and their three stepchildren.
The 48-year-old actress, Bring It On, revealed when she needs a moment from her full household, she recycles the same undisputed excuse.
“I can’t even cope,” she joked in a new interview with Parents magazine. “I will claim a gastrointestinal problem so quickly that I get a little extra time.”

It seems that the escape of the star to the toilet is an increasingly popular trick among parents, according to a Tropicana survey conducted by Wakefield Research between October 29 and November 4 of 1,000 US residents.
The study found that 49 percent of mothers and fathers hide in the bathroom for much-needed space, amid widespread coronavirus blockages.
In addition, the Union also finds solace by listening to positive affirmations, therapy over Zoom, and guided meditation.

In addition to her child and her 38-year-old husband, she also co-parents the children of Wade, Zaire, 18, Zaya, 13 and Xavier, seven, from his past relationships with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches and Basketball Wives’ alum Aja Metoyer.
His mother, Jolinda Wade, and her mother, Theresa Union, along with Gabrielle’s niece and sister, are also temporarily in quarantine with the couple in their 8,500-square-foot home in Los Angeles.
Despite the fact that she occasionally feels overwhelmed or crowded, she noted that she and her husband feel “very lucky” to “have a very large village.”

“We all rely on each other and we all get confused. And when it gets too hard, we offer grace, ”Union said of her family.
She also reminded the other parents who asked for help “it doesn’t fail”.
“Needing help doesn’t make you weak or vulnerable – it just means you need help like everyone else,” she said.
