But all the fanfare has meant that Dubai’s first-rate restaurants are growing their offerings like nowhere else in the world – with lively restaurants offering multi-course menus for more than Dh4,500 ($ 1,207) and even fast food outlets such as Tim Hortons and Five Guys, which ask customers to buy 1,500 Dh + for a meal.
So whether you want to spend $ 1,000 shrugging your shoulders (but not literally because of Covid-19) with the city’s elite in a sleek bar, or you’re willing to raise Dh 2,500 ($ 670) on some Tim Horton Timbits , New Year’s Eve in Dubai seems to have every experience covered.
Here are the best places to say goodbye to 2020 if you are in Dubai and have money to burn.

Everything you can eat Five Guys is a dream come true for some, but on December 31 in Dubai, it is very much a reality. For Dh1500 ($ 402), you can see on January 1 with unlimited burgers, fries and soft drinks between 20:00 and 01:00, in one of the best places on the ground floor of Dubai Mall to catch the fountains. It is a little cheaper (Dh1100) if you want a place further back on the terrace. Children at least 12 years old receive a 50% discount, and under three are free.
Donut Center: Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons has been a Canadian institution since 1964.
Tim Hortons
If you like filtered coffee and Canadian donuts and are willing to pay 2,500 dh for a lot of them, Tim Hortons is the place to join on New Year’s Eve. For the price of 1,786 Timbits, you will receive a five-course meal and a premium seat right next to the water. The price drops to 1,500 Dh for the outdoor chairs on the terrace and 1,000 Dh for the indoor chairs.
The boy: Cé La Vi

Cé La Vi serves contemporary Asian cuisine.
The kindness of Cé La Vi
This famous international import (perhaps best known for its location in Singapore, at the top of Marina Bay Sands, also known as the setting of the final scene of “Crazy Rich Asians”) has probably the best view of Burj Khalifa in the city – the only warning being that you will look at the back rather than the front, where the light show and the fountains are.
Located at the top of the 260-meter-high Sky View address, a place to ring in the new year here involves a minimum expense of 2,500 dh ($ 680).
Funny fact: The Sky View address is actually modeled after Marina Bay Sands, completed with the three-level Sky Bridge on the 51st floor, which connects the two towers.
Spurge: 99 Sushi

There are 99 sushi outposts in the United Arab Emirates and Spain.
Kindness 99 Sushi

Located in Address Downtown, a place at this state-of-the-art Japanese sushi restaurant and Spanish export will bring you back to Dh4,500 on December 31 on its terrace in front of the Burj, down to Dh4,000 in the outdoor lounge area. and Dh3,500 elsewhere.
Although it may seem like a high price for a few plates of sushi, the entrance fee includes a huge 14-course dinner, free-flowing alcohol and an after-party party.
Highest: Atmosphere

At 442 meters above ground level, Atmosphere is the tallest restaurant in the world.
At.mosphere Lounge
This isn’t the best point of view to see fireworks, because you’re actually kind of inside them, but maybe it’s just as cool.
Homegrown event brand Secret Parties is throwing a bang at the world’s tallest restaurant, Atmosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, which means an all-night (Covid-friendly) party for 3,000 Dh ($ 800).
From 18:00 until 01:00 there is unlimited champagne, a nine-course menu and the choice of seats in the restaurant (relaxed) or in the lounge (DJ and music).
The best view: Weslodge Saloon
An institution in Dubai, this North American-themed restaurant located on the 68th floor of the JW Marriott Marquis offers a serious party for anyone who wants to see the end of 2020 from above.
And given the view, which overlooks the Burj Khalifa and most of Downtown Dubai with a 360-degree view, it’s a bargain at Dh799 ($ 213) for a multi-course menu. and free drinks.
On a boat: Lotus Yacht
The largest yacht in the United Arab Emirates is hosting a night on the water on December 31, where you can admire fireworks over the Dubai skyline at sea.
The package will refund you Dh1,990 for food and an open bar, but amounts to Dh3,490 for a section reserved with glass service.
Lotus is a staple on the Dubai yacht scene. The three-story boat has enough space for 600 guests, a swimming pool, hot tub, club for 150 people and a cinema with 70 seats.

The South African Walnut Grove Restaurant has impressive views of the Burj.
