Damon “Snacks” Harrison is “finished playing” for the Seahawks

Shortly before the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angles Rams games began on Sunday, there was some interesting news about Damon “Snacks” Harrison’s defensive attack.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network posted the following on Twitter:

DT Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison has demanded his release after learning that he will be inactive today against #Rams, and the team plans to grant it next week, according to sources. Seattle loves snacks and hopes to have a change of heart, but his mind seems determined. He would have given up.

Harrison was ruled inactive on Sunday against the Rams.

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed the scenario Monday during his radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle.

“Snacks, he decided not to play anymore, he finished playing,” Carroll said. “I talked to him this morning, he’s in a good mood and all that, he’s very grateful for the opportunity to play here and he did really well for us, but he just finished.”

Carroll was reluctant to speculate on whether or not Harrison would consider signing with another team, but reiterated that his time had ended in Seattle.

“It was great to have him around,” Carroll continued. “I loved him and I’m sorry to see him leave, but we’ll keep going.”
