Another 57% drop in sales
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla could not continue its internship in the top sales charts in the UK, as FIFA 21 ranks first in the week ending December 26, 2020. The top 10 list of the largest physical sellers in the UK contains common suspicions for For the past seven days, Ubisoft’s Viking RPG has slipped to second place, while Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ranks 5th. Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED slides quite significantly up to eight. It was the third best-selling game in the UK last week.
What makes this result interesting is that the data in question covers the first full week in which the controversial title was physically available only for the PlayStation 4 after Sony released the digital version from the PlayStation Store. At least in the United Kingdom, this did not lead to an increase in the purchase of copies in the box, as sales fell by another 57%. However, the game can be purchased digitally on the Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC.
