Atlanta Hawks goalie Trae Young discussed a play by Grayson Allen, the Memphis Grizzlies’ goalie in Saturday’s game, apparently Allen tried to stop him on purpose.
Young came out of a screen while Allen was in the back and their legs were tangled, and Young stumbled a little into the game.
“Damn … tell me what you see! Smh,”
“> Young wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “must stop! #ifyoudontknownowyou know”
Allen has a reputation for stopping opponents, returning to his time at Duke. In 2017, coach Mike Krzyzewski disciplined Allen for repeated shooting incidents.
Allen sarcastically he replied to Young on Twitter: “Damn, that must have really hurt. I’m sorry. I hope you’re okay.”
Allen and Young have little history. The two received double technical errors in a pre-season game this year. Prior to that, Young and Allen fought in a 2018 summer league game as novices.
The visiting Hawks defeated the Grizzlies on Saturday with 122-112, Young scoring 36 points in the game, with nine assists.
