By the end of Sunday, the Green Bay Packers could be guaranteed No. 1 in the NFC.
And it won’t take much in terms of results to do it.
The way forward in Week 16 is a simple one for the Packers – hoping for a fair result during an important early game, and then defeating the Tennessee Titans in “Sunday Night Football”.
Packers can obtain seeds no. 1 with the following two results:
– Los Angeles Rams win (or draw) vs. Seattle Seahawks
– Packers win vs. titanium
The Rams and Seahawks play in Seattle starting at 3:25 p.m., Sunday. The Packers will host the Titans at Lambeau Field at 7:15 p.m. Before the start, Matt LaFleur’s team will know if he can reach the top end by defeating the Titans.
The Chicago Bears, who will face the Packers at Soldier Field in the season finale next Sunday, are looking for their final playoff spot in the NFC. They play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but they can’t win a playoff spot or be eliminated this week, which means next week will count for Matt Nagy’s team. No matter what happens in Week 16, the Packers can secure No. 1 to beat the Bears next week.
