The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, is considered the second most approved president on the American continent according to the ranking made by the company Real Time Data Corp.
Abinader appears second on the list with an approval rating of 90%, just behind El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, who has a 96% acceptance rate among his country’s citizens.
The first Dominican president was the winner of the July 5 election, gaining 53.05% of the vote and a 16-point advantage over Gonzalo Castillo, who admitted defeat after receiving 37.33% of the vote.
President Luis Abinader began his term on August 16.
The following
Bukele and Abinader are followed by Mexican President Andrés López Obrador with 64% and Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou, who has 60% approval among its citizens.
Fifth place is occupied by Juan Hernández, President of Honduras, who has a 54% approval, followed by Justin Turdeau, Prime Minister of Canada and Mario Abdo Benítez from Paraguay, both with 50% approval.
The list of heads of government who have a positive assessment is followed by Luis Arce from Bolivia and Francisco Sagasti from Peru, according to the study.
The worst
Lenin Montero, President of Ecuador, with 89% disapproval; Nicolás Maduro, from Venezuela, with 82% and Sebastían Piñera, President of Chile, with 76%.
Carlos Alvarado of Puerto Rico has a disapproval rate of 66%; Excluding Gimmattei from Guatemala, by 61%.
The outgoing president of the United States, Donald Trump, has a rating of disapproval of 55%; while Daniel Ortega, from Nicaragua, has 54% and Alejandro Fernández from Argentina, 53%.
The list is closed by Iván Duque, from Colombia, with an index of 52% and Jair Bolsonaro, from Brazil, with 46%.
