Joe Burrow, from Cincinnati Bengals, posts a video about him going on the background of recovery after knee surgery

CINCINNATI – Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow posted a 12-second video that sparked optimism in late 2020.

Burrow posted a short video on Twitter that showed him walking. It is the first time Burrow has been seen in public taking steps since undergoing a successful reconstructive knee surgery on December 2nd.

The video was released four days after Cincinnati defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time since 2015.

“Good week for the Bengals,” Burrow wrote in the tweet that accompanied the video.

Burrow suffered a knee injury at the end of the season, on November 22, in a loss to Washington. Burrow broke his ACL and MCL in his left knee and also suffered partial tears in his meniscus and posterior cruciate ligament, sources told ESPN. The operation was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache of Los Angeles, who did similar procedures to the New York Giants, who ran back Saquon Barkley and the San Francisco 49ers, defensive end Nick Bosa.

In an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter on December 14 on The Adam Schefter Podcast, ElAttrache said Burrow is among those to return in time for the 2021 season.

Burrow was the best overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft after winning the Heisman Trophy and the National College Football Championship game at LSU. Burrow started 10 games in his debut season and completed 65.3% of his passes for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns with five interceptions.
