Halo Infinite developer dispels new rumors, and some Xbox fans are not happy about it

Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries broke the latest rumor about the touring game, displeasing many Xbox fans in the process. When Halo Infinite launches the 2021 holiday, it will do so through Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. However, a recent rumor claimed that when the first-person sci-fi launcher launches next year, it will only be for three of the four platforms mentioned above.

In case you missed it, the LinkedIn page of a game developer did a round this week to leave Xbox One in the list of platforms for which the game is developed. In other words, at the time, it seemed that the Xbox One version of the game could have been preserved.

Addressing this speculation, John Junyszek, a community manager at 343 Industries, dismissed it as untrue. Junyszek does not go into further detail, but there is little room to doubt the definitive nature of the answer, which was made when someone on Twitter asked the community manager if it is true that the Xbox One version has been preserved.

While Xbox One gamers who don’t make the leap to the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be pleased to know that the latest version of the game has not been handed over, many hardcore Xbox fans were actually disappointed with Junyszek’s response, citing the resources it wastes, the game being retained by the Xbox One and the hypothetical development problems caused by the old piece of hardware.

Halo Infinite is under development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC and is set to be released sometime during the 2021 holiday, ie between October and December 2021.
