Steam’s winter sale has begun

If you listen quietly at this time of year, you will hear a faint jolt in the breeze. However, it’s not Santa Claus, oh no, but Valve’s cheerful pockets are shaking with anticipation as Steam’s winter sale begins. Okay, folks, the seasonal offers are at your fingertips: from now until January 5, thousands of games will be reduced to Steam. The 5th edition of the Steam Awards will start, so go to the polls as much as you can.

Take your festive ego to Steam to see all the offers. As always, there are: many.

Like Chirstmas sales in the past, this year’s Steam Winter Sale will give you Steam points when you buy games, which you can use to buy cute cosmetics to personalize your account. In a press release, Valve says that the Steam Points program has been updated this year and that there are new seasonal items, such as animated stickers and avatars to take.

The Steam 2020 Awards are also in full swing, so go to the Steam Awards page to vote for your nominated favorites. You have until January 3 to get the votes and you will win a few trading cards by doing so. This year’s categories include “Best Game You Suck”, “Better with Friends”, “Sit Back and Relax” and more. They also have Hades for the “Game of the Year”, so do you have to go and vote for it, obviously.

The winter sale of Steam is active now and ends on January 5, 2021 at 10am PT (18:00 GMT).
