Rep. Jared Huffman was vaccinated against COVID-19 | The Lost Coast Outpost

From the office of Rep. Jared Huffman:

Today, the representative of Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) issued the following statement after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine:

“Based on the recommendations and direction of the attending physician, I received the vaccine for COVID-19 today. I am happy to report that it was not painful and that I did not experience any side effects. ” said Rep. Huffman.

“I encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as it is available. The path to our recovery from this pandemic depends on a rapid and successful distribution of the vaccine and the fact that we all continue to be safe, following public health guidelines to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Following public health advice, I will continue to wear a mask and social distance even after receiving the vaccine. I am grateful to the Chapter’s physician’s office for making this vaccine available to address the continuity of our government, and I am grateful to the scientists and researchers who made this vaccine possible. This weekend, while at the Capitol, I will fight for more funding for vaccine distribution, for direct payments to suffering Americans, and for much more support for families, employers, and state and local governments. We have a lot of work to do to make sure all Americans can be vaccinated quickly and safely and to keep everyone safe until we get through this pandemic. ” Conchis Huffman.

According to government continuity guidelines, the congressional leadership was informed by the Physician’s Office that members of the House and Senate should receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The doctor also told the members “My recommendation for you is absolutely unequivocal: there is no reason why you should postpone the administration of this vaccine.”

Currently, there are over 100 members of Congress who are or have been quarantined, tested positive for COVID-19, or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19.
