There are a lot music streaming services to choose from, and these services inspire a growing number of add-ons and accompanying applications designed to help you get even more bang for your subscription dollar, or find new things to listen to, either helping you save the songs happily.
This means you’re not limited to features from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, or any streaming platform you’ve subscribed to, as you can also use tools that run alongside these services to add features and options beyond. of what you get by default.
Some of these tools can actually be used with any music streaming service, while others are focused on one platform in particular. Here are some of our current favorites that we hope you find useful.
Songpocket
Songpocket (for iPhone and iPad) connects directly to the Music app on your phone or tablet, giving you more control over how your music is arranged. In other words, you don’t have to settle for automatic ordering and grouping. Apple imposes them on you – you can put your favorite artists on top, group albums as you like, and so on.
The app works with any of the default Music apps, whether it’s synced from the Apple Music streaming catalog or imported from elsewhere. When you open the app for the first time, you’ll see all the music organized by artist name, and from there you can start rearranging the lists and moving the albums between the groups you’ve created.
