The national film awards are announced today. The awards are for films from 2019.
The critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Natural Star Nani, Jersey won two national awards, including Best Regional Film. Editor Naveen Nooli also won the award.
Jersey was directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri under Sithara Entertainments. The film has won several other awards.
The director remakes Jersey in Bollywood with the same title. Shahid Kapoor got into Nani’s shoes for the Hindi version.
