CPS Energy
Nirenberg said CPS Energy has almost completed energy restoration in the San Antonio region. As of Saturday night, all but 40 customers have been reinstated.
Although, CPS Energy officials said a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Friday, leaving 1,630 customers living near Cupples Road and Menefee Boulevard without electricity.
The energy company is now working to slow down the billing process for customers, to eliminate the impact of this week’s winter weather conditions.
Customers are urged not to worry about their bills right now and the service will not be disconnected if it cannot pay at this time. For more details, click here.

San Antonio water system
San Antonio Water System CEO Robert Puente announced at a meeting on Saturday that parts of San Antonio are now being released from the boiling water notice. This means that you no longer have to boil water before consuming it. For more information on areas that are no longer under the boiling notice, click here.
It is possible that customers who are still under the boiling notice do not have a lack of water, but a lack of pressure. Puente estimates that most of these problems will be resolved by Monday.
Another 10% or 9% of the San Antonio region does not have water, according to SAWS, but crews are still working on restoration efforts.
