5,000 Johnson & Johnson doses reserved for ages 18-24

Oakland County is setting aside 5,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 single-injection vaccine for residents between the ages of 18 and 24 to ensure that students are vaccinated and do not spread the virus.

The Oakland County Health Division made the announcement after the University of Oakland said it would ask students living on the Rochester campus to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the county will run 15 COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled for the week of Tuesday, April 6 through Monday, April 12 in the following communities: Holly, Rochester, West Bloomfield, Southfield, Hazel Park, Waterford, Pontiac, Royal Oak Township and Novi.
