Is not Halo 6, however. Developer 343 Industries has dropped the numbering convention (thanks to Microsoft’s wishes) for the latest entry. It is still the continuation of the labyrinthine story of the chief master and the continuation of the (of course bizarre) events in Halo 5. This “completely new chapter,” according to Xbox CEO Aaron Greenberg, will follow John-117 and his compatriots, resuming shortly after Halo 5.
Halo Infinite it was originally scheduled to debut this year, but was rejected due to developmental difficulties caused by the pandemic. When he finally arrives, he is ready to launch a new explosive campaign that follows the group of mercenaries Money and will bring back Hate weapons, vehicles and attitude that we have been waiting for over the years, including a possible Battle Royale mode and extensive multiplayer options.
It’s time to return to the world we fell in love with so many years ago, and the fact that it’s an Xbox Series X / S title makes its reappearance even more appropriate.
Environment
The Bloober team is known for its visceral psychological horror games from Layers of fear to Observer. His latest project is Environment, which is set for a debut in 2021. It is a strong departure from the crazy painters and the future dystopian cyberpunk. Around this time, Environment takes players into the world of the average Marianne, who can travel in and out of the spirit, for a game that will exist in two different planes.
This third-person adventure will allow players to move between realms in different segments throughout the game, with Marianne making her spiritual powers available by sealing hostile spirits and interacting with pots of psychic energy called spiritual wells. From the looks of things so far, it is expected to present some really disturbing images, accompanied by the score of the legendary Akira Yamaoka and the voice of singer and vocal actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
The medium has been under cover for some time, although there is additional information promised for 2021 before launch. If you follow in the footsteps of previous Bloober titles, players will have some serious narrative moments, as well as more than a few scares.
Pragma
Capcom is working hard on a new title called Pragma, and looks fantastic. There is only one caveat: we know very little about what it is or what it is about. It is supposed to be released in 2022, but we will probably start hearing more about the project when 2021 takes place, given that all we have now is a very mysterious movie trailer.
