4 players on the wish list of the team’s free agency

In the NFL agency’s free forecast for Gazeta (subscription required for link), Woody Paige has listed four players who will be on the Denver Broncos’ “wish list” this season.

Paige has indicated that Broncos general manager George Paton will show interest in the linebacker Eric Wilson and corners Troy Hill, William Jackson III and Jason Verrett.

Wilson (6-1, £ 230) is a 26-year-old defender who was signed by the Minnesota Vikings (Paton’s former team) as a college without an agent in Cincinnati following the 2017 NFL project. 118 approaches, eight breakdowns, three sacks and three interceptions in 2020.

Hill (5-11, 183 pounds) is a 29-year-old defender who has totaled seven interceptions in six seasons with the Los Angeles Rams.

Jackson (6-0, 196 pounds) is a 27-year-old defensive defender who was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He broke 41 passes in 59 career games.

Verrett (5-10, £ 188) is a 29-year-old defender who entered the league as a voter in the first round with the San Diego (now Los Angeles) Chargers in 2014. He broke seven passes and caught two interceptions with the San Francisco 49ers last season.

NFL teams can begin negotiations with free agents on March 15, but the signatures – and transactions – will not become official until March 17.
