4 players have given up, while another 2 are signing offers

The Dallas Cowboys made a series of free agency moves, most of which flew under the radar. This trend continued on Friday as the club completed six more listed transactions.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys have officially signed CB CJ Goodwin and re-signed WR Malik Turner. WR Chris Lacy, TE Cole Hikutini, C Marcus Henry and WR Jon’Vea Johnson were all dropped.

It’s easy to see why the Cowboys brought Goodwin back, as he was the best club special player in 2020, and John Fassel hopes to continue to improve the special teams’ unity. The deal was reported earlier this week, but was finalized today, with Goodwin returning to Dallas for just $ 3.5 million over the next two seasons.

Turner was a restricted free agent, but did not receive an offer from the Cowboys, which means he will reach the free market. However, Turner returned to the list only a few days later.

Hikutini was the strange man in a crowded TE room with Dalton Schultz, Sean McKeon and Blake Jarwin returning.

Henry spent most of his time with the Dallas coaching staff a season ago and could find his way back there if he remains claimed.

The Cowboys completed their wide receiver depth by re-signing Noah Brown, Cedrick Wilson and Turner mentioned above, making Lacy and Johnson more consumable.
