2 COVID-19 vaccination sites were opened on Sunday in Broward County

DAVIE, Fla. – Citizens 65 and older in Broward County, who were lucky enough to schedule a meeting, began lining up early Sunday morning to vaccinate their COVID-19.

Two drive-through locations have been opened in which, from what Local 10 has learned, you drive up, turn your window down, pull out your arm to get the shot, and set up an appointment for the second dose in three weeks.

Drive through sites that open on Sunday, only by appointment, it includes:

>Windwinds Park, 3600 West Sample Road, Coconut Creek. 8:00 – 16:00 Sunday to Thursday, closed Friday and Saturday.

>Vista View Park, Southwest 142nd Avenue, Davie. 8:00 – 16:00, Sunday to Thursday, closed Friday and Saturday.

On Tuesday, drive-thru vaccinations will begin at:

>Markham Park, 160001 West State Road 84, Sunrise. 8:00 – 16:00 Sunday to Thursday, closed Friday and Saturday.

People are warned not to appear on websites unless they have an appointment. Those without an appointment on Sunday morning were rejected.

It was a struggle for the elderly to secure a place despite tens of thousands of other vaccines arriving in South Florida.

On Sunday morning, the Florida Department of Health, on the Broward County website, to make an appointment, finally came back and worked after sitting down for a few days, but by 9:30 it was from new offline with a message that read: “We sincerely apologize.
