17-year-old girl survives while two dead shot in Arouca house | Additional news

TWO men were killed and a 17-year-old woman was injured in a home invasion in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The incident took place at Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, which led to the deaths of the two men – Chris “Bellies” Williams and Shawn Anthony Williams.

The girl was shot in the ankle and remained in hospital until Saturday morning.

Police reports say the men were in a house along Sparrow Drive, Arouca around 2.40am, when the gunmen entered and started firing.

Chris was found on the bedroom floor, wearing a black vest and white boxers. He had gunshot wounds to his trunk and stomach.

Shawn was found above a basket of clothes in a bedroom wearing a black T-shirt and boxers. He had gunshot wounds to his neck and leg.

Officers said they were informed that the girl and her mother were sleeping in the house when they were awakened by “loud noises”.

His mother’s boyfriend (Chris) allegedly prepared dog food in the kitchen, but soon began shouting “armed men, armed men.”

Two men dressed in black and wearing masks knocked on the house and started firing.

During the melee, the girl was also shot in the right ankle.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
