14-year-old stabbed at Wahooz, evacuated entire building

The building has been evacuated due to the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Wahooz Family Fun Zone.

According to a press release from Wahooz, an altercation took place between two groups of young adults around 6:30 PM

Meridian police say a young man has been stabbed by an unknown male suspect and that further details are currently under investigation. The 14-year-old boy was transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

As of Saturday evening, three ambulances, two fire trucks and several police units were on the scene.

Wahooz says the safety of staff and guests has not been compromised at any time and the Wahooz Family Fun Zone will remain open.

Meridian police said in a press release that they are asking the public for help in identifying the unknown male suspect. Meridian police say all that is known so far is that the suspect was wearing a black shirt and that they were driving west on Overland Road in a dark-colored BMW with Canyon County license plates.
