1,289 additional cases confirmed, 9 deaths and 490 hospitalizations due to COVID

The Department of Health reported approximately 1,289 confirmed cases and nine additional deaths caused by coronavirus, COVID-19.

According to the information published on the digital portal, the confirmed cases accumulated on the island reach 107,056. In addition, it indicates approximately 483 probable cases, which are detected with the antigen test, for a cumulative total of 13,515. While from serological tests, approximately 1,022 additional cases are indicated, accumulating a total of 107,242.

With nine deaths reported today, the total number rises to 2,194. These deaths occur, four in the Bayamón region, two in the Caguas, two in the metro and one in Arecibo. In the case of Bayamón there are four women aged 81, 59, 57 and 34, while in Caguas there is a woman and a man aged 89 and 53 respectively. In the metropolitan area, 41 women and 68 men are indicated, and the Arecibo case is 93 women.

On the other hand, an increase of seven people was reported in hospitalizations for a total of 490. Of these, 454 are cases of adults and 36 are minors. Although hospitalizations in adults have increased, there is a slight reduction in patients with intensive care of 2 adults and a minor with 92 and four, respectively.

In the case of patients with ventilator, adults remained at 60 years, and in minors it decreased from 3 to 2.
