About one in six U.S. adults has been completely vaccinated for coronavirus, according to new data released Saturday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The follow-up to the CDC vaccine, which was updated on Saturday afternoon, shows that 16.7 percent of the adult population has been completely vaccinated. Over 40% of adults over the age of 65 are also fully vaccinated.
Over 121 million doses have been administered in total and almost 43 million adults are completely inoculated.
Three different coronavirus vaccines have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. Pfizer and Moderna photos require two doses for maximum effectiveness, while the Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires a single inoculation.
More than 21 million fully vaccinated adults received the Pfizer vaccine, followed by more than 19.7 million who received the Moderna vaccine and 2.15 million who received the recently released Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Biden administration has already exceeded its target of managing 100 photos in the first 100 days as it intensifies its distribution efforts, but public health experts urge people to continue to take precautions, such as wearing a mask and social distancing, to prevent the further spread of the virus.
But despite increased vaccine availability, only half of health care workers have been stung, according to a recent survey by The Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation. The vast majority of vaccinated health workers have not decided whether or not to receive it and have expressed concern about the side effects and novelty of the vaccine.
A sizeable group of Americans across the country have also expressed similar concerns and hesitations about the shooting.

CDC news comes on the same day that the United Kingdom announced that half of its adult population had received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine. The number is a milestone in a country that has been forced to be blocked after a new COVID-19 variant appeared.
