KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A man from Kansas City, Missouri, is dead and three children seriously injured after a frontal accident in Clinton County.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol, 48-year-old Scott Ford was traveling south on I-35 northbound from the exit ramp at the 40-mile mark when he collided head-on with a vehicle to the north, just after noon. at night, on New Year’s Day.
Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three children between the ages of 3 and 14 were in the other vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Another accident occurred when a third vehicle heading north hit the two vehicles after the fatal accident. The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cameron Regional.
