Trump supporters mock Biden visit to family grave on anniversary of deadly crash

Some of President Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters responded to the Biden family’s visit to the graves of deceased relatives on Friday by accusing the president-elect of “seeking votes” in a cemetery.

President-elect Joe Biden and future first lady Jill Biden on Friday marked the 48th anniversary of a 1972 car accident that killed his first wife and daughter, Naomi. They visited their graves at the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware. But Trump supporters clinging to the desperate hope that the president can reverse the November election, ridiculed the gloomy cemetery visit as a “ photo op. ” This prompted some publications to remove comment sections entirely. Other ardent Trump backers wondered “where’s Hunter Biden?” when the president-elect visited the nearby grave of his late son Beau, who survived the fatal car accident but died of cancer in 2015.

Many Biden supporters startled asked how They had to be “nice to these people after the election,” as Trump backers mercilessly mocked the Biden family by accusing him of “summoning dead voters.”

“He probably needs to find the bridge Hunter lives under and take care of it first,” tweeted Mindy Robinson, who ran unsuccessfully as a Republican Congressional candidate in Nevada and is now a conservative radio commentator.

“Joe Biden takes a last-minute trip to the cemetery to collect dead voters,” reads a post-flipped meme that climbed to the top of Reddit’s largest pro-Trump group Friday night. The mockery comes as Trump urged his most harsh supporters to join a “wild” protest on January 6 in Washington, DC in his last-ditch effort to reverse the US election results.

“[Biden’s] with a mask in the cemetery to thank all those voters, ” Robert Conder, a man from Indiana, wrote on the WLKY-TV Facebook page who shared the story of the visit to the family’s cemetery. Conder and dozens of other comments from Trump supporters were immediately chastised by people. calls for “fundamental respect for human life”.

Some Biden supporters questioned how the comments could be made by Trump supporters who describe themselves as Christians. Many Trump donors suspect Biden’s infidelity at the time of his wife’s death in 1972, just as 29-year-old Biden was elected to his first term in the United States Senate. Numerous top commentaries on dozens of local news pages even questioned the “ fair evidence ” of how Biden’s family died in the 1972 car accident.

This isn’t the first time supporters – and Trump campaign officials – have mocked the Bidens for showing respect to their deceased relatives. In September, Francis Brennan, director of the campaign’s strategic response, said that Biden “just keeps strolling” as he visited the Delaware cemetery where his son, daughter and first wife are all buried.

Newsweek reached out to both the Biden and Trump campaigns Saturday afternoon for response, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
