Salvadoran announcer Charlie Hernández denounced on Tuesday that he and two other people were victims of an armed robbery on Monday night. They stole a vehicle, mobile phones, personal documents and other valuables.
The incident took place at approximately 21:20 outside the workplace in the Roma neighborhood of San Salvador, where at least three subjects stripped them of their belongings.
He reports that in the 11 years he worked on the spot “nothing ever happened”, because even before what happened the area was considered quiet.
Hernández told elsalvador.com that he was about to retire from the company when he met a friend outside the headquarters. He kept all his belongings in the vehicle and then left them on the street to talk to her. Unexpectedly, three individuals walking through the area approached them to threaten them.

He assured that one of the individuals warned him: “Well, this is an assault, give me everything you have in your hand, because you do not understand.” Meanwhile, he said another subject pulled out a firearm, loaded it and pointed it at him to pressure him to deliver his belongings. He replied, “Chavo, I only have my cell phone and cigarettes.”
He indicated that the subject continued to investigate him, but only stole his mobile phone because he could not find other valuables that might interest him.
He pointed out that he commented to the offender: “Look at my mobile phone, it doesn’t even work.” Then the man turned, insulted him and pointed his gun at him. At that moment, I said, “He’s already killed me,” I closed my eyes, but he didn’t do anything. I don’t know what stopped him, “he said.
However, the person Hernández was talking to on the street had the vehicle keys in his hand and the subjects “took her with a gun” to his car “which was about 20 meters away”.
The woman was accompanied by an employee, who was waiting for her in the car and whose suspects got out of the vehicle. All the goods were stolen from both people, and the car was taken.

“They got off the girl, got off her employee and took the car.” She said that her friend was scared because she came to believe that the worst could have happened to her because of the threats of the subjects.
The case was reported the same night to the National Civil Police (PNC), which hours later located the abandoned car in the Medical neighborhood.
After the assault, the professional showed his helplessness in the face of the crime that pursues the country and also denounced the event of which he was a victim through his Twitter, which was the only social network he could access from the tablet, since he did not have another mobile phone.
In this way, Hernández alerted his contacts about what happened to prevent them from answering phone calls that could be generated from his stolen mobile phone number.
“They simply robbed me and took my phone. He doesn’t answer calls from him. I’m fine … “, he wrote in a tweet he posted on Monday night.
In another message, in which he expands the situation, on Tuesday, he detailed through the same social network: “They assaulted me yesterday, the only thing I managed to write from another device was that my phone it was stolen because it was fast, ”he told his followers.
“What I didn’t say was that they took the car of the person who was with me, her things and almost her with the gun …”, he added.
The fact was investigated by the authorities, as indicated.
