Perfect Pasta Inc. reminds of frozen meat and poultry products produced without inspection

WASHINGTON, December 19, 2020 – Perfect Pasta Inc., headquartered in Addison, Illinois, recalls an undetermined amount of frozen meat and frozen poultry products that were not established on the shelf that were produced without the benefit of the federal inspection, the Department’s Food Inspection and Safety Service US Agriculture) announced today.

The various packages of frozen meat and poultry products were produced between December 2018 and December 2020 and bear a unit number “East. 19829 / P-19829 ”inside the USDA inspection mark.

All recalled products can be found below [Recall Products List (PDF only)]. These items have been distributed and sold nationwide.

The problem was discovered when an FSIS investigation established that the company was reporting and repackaging appropriate products at a secondary location without receiving federal inspection. The repackaging facility operates in accordance with the USDA East Inspection Grant 19829 / P-19829.

No reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products have been confirmed. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some products may also be frozen in consumer freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS routinely performs recall effectiveness checks to verify which firms are notifying them. customers and that steps are taken to ensure that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list (s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
