Katy Perry has recruited a lookalike to play in her latest video.
The 36-year-old singer was amused by the comparisons between her and Zooey Deschanel for her latest video, associated with the song “Not the End of the World”.
The video opens with Deschanel, 40, reading a newspaper while Perry walks her baby in a stroller.
Cut in space, where a pair of blue aliens follow the singer in hopes of kidnapping her.

However, the aliens have a wrong celebrity when Perry and Deschenael briefly intersect.
Inside the spaceship, the “New Girl” star is greeted by a large group of aliens, who believe her to be Perry.
Deschanel tries to explain the misunderstanding, but it doesn’t seem to stay.
The aliens explain that it is, in fact, the end of the world, as they saved the star about an hour before the Earth self-destructed.
Deschanel prevents the two aliens responsible for the wrong abduction from helping her save the planet.

The star is then fitted into one of Perry’s iconic looks – a bright blue wig. Several references to the successful album “Teenage Dream” from 2014 are presented, including endorsements to the video “California Gurls”.
Only in time, Deschanel is able to pull a plug by disconnecting the Earth’s Internet.
“The earth is saved!” read a monitor on board the ship.
Deschanel and the aliens celebrate, chanting, “Katy! Katy! Katy!”
Actress “Elf” then misses the song while wearing a cosmic-themed outfit to perform for the aliens. They cheer merrily as Deschanel winks at the camera.
