Kareena Kapoor about parents about separating parents Randhir and Babita: “When they have to come together, they are always together” – Bollywood

Kareena Kapoor Khan talked about her parents Randhir Kapoor and the separation of Babita Kapoor and what it was like to be raised by a single mother. She said she and her sister Karisma Kapoor understood their parents’ relationship from an early age.

In a new interview, Kareena opened up about how Randhir was always “silent” there for them. She also said that when he and Babita “have to unite, they are always together.”

Speaking to Mojo Story, Kareena said: “My mother is my best friend, but I adore my father because I respect and love him a lot. He is not very much in front of you because he is someone who has always chosen to be behind. He is not someone who attracts attention and wants that. He is always silent there for us and I know that. “

“My parents have a wonderful relationship because sometimes two people realize that their lives are not going exactly as they planned, so it’s better not to stay together, but they can still be friends and sometimes they make decisions about children. It is not necessary for them to remain under the same roof or to be there 24 * 7 together. I think that both Karisma and I understood that, from an early age, this type of relationship can also exist. She has been with my parents for almost 35 years and I see that in the times when they have to come together, they are always together, but they prefer to have their daily life separately, which is wonderful, ”she added.

Randhir and Babita got married on November 6, 1971 after the release of Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which marked his Bollywood debut. She was cast opposite him in the film. The following year, the two played together in Jeet.

In 1988, Randhir moved out of their home to live with his parents. Speaking to the Hindustan Times about their breakup, he said: “He found out that I was a terrible man, that he drank a lot and came home late, which he didn’t like. And I didn’t want to live the way she wanted me to and she couldn’t accept me the way I am, even though it was a love marriage. So it’s okay. I had two wonderful children to take care of. She raised them in the best way and they excelled in their careers. What else could I have asked for as a father? “
