Jaime Lozano will define his starting eleven by Tuesday, but points to at least three changes against the United States
On Monday, the Mexican pre-Olympic national team returned to work after defeating Costa Rica and making its way to the semifinals of the tournament taking place in Guadalajara. Today’s training was regenerative in part of the players’ physical recovery session and was completed with football work on the field, under the command of Jaime Lozano.
The tricolor has already started preparing for what will be the last game of the pre-Olympic group stage when next Wednesday they will face the United States in a direct duel for the first place in group A. At this moment the Aztecs are leaders over the Americans because of the difference of goals, which is better for Mexicans with only one score more than the Stars and Stripes.
For the duel against the Americans, Mexican coach Jaime Lozano does not rule out making some changes to his starting eleven and offers a break for some titles.
Names like José Juan Macías, Sebastián Jurado or Gilberto Sepúlveda could be considered starting against the Americans, although this situation will be defined until Tuesday, when Jimmy Lozano has his last practice before facing those led by Jason Kriese.
Another doubt that Mexico’s coaching staff still manages is the presence of Alan Mozo. The Pumas team presented some muscle problems in training last Saturday and that is why it was not taken into account in the team that played Costa Rica at the Akron stadium. Mozo will be evaluated again on Tuesday afternoon and, if not available, the surest thing is that Vladimir Loroña will repeat as a starter on the Mexican right wing.
It should be noted that for the duel against the United States, The Mexican team has the advantage that, with any victory or draw, it will be ranked first in the group. and would be measured to second in Sector B in a duel to kill or die for the ticket to the tournament final and therefore to the Olympics.
