Chrome is the most popular web browser in the world, but it still has many problems, especially on Windows 10, and Google, the company behind Chrome, is working hard to solve some of its biggest problems: RAM usage and instability.
Chrome is famous for consuming a lot of memory on a computer, especially when many tabs are open at once and not only can this slow down the entire computer, but it can also lead to Chrome’s unresponsiveness and crash.
Both Microsoft and Google have been working on different ways to fix Chrome on Windows 10, and it looks like the Windows 10 TerminateProcess feature could help reduce browser crashes.
Stability has been added
Google revealed that it used TerminateProcess to help clean up processes and that “this will avoid some utility process crashes on Windows” and that “TerminateProcess has helped a lot in many types of processes already.”
In plain English, this means that Chrome should run more efficiently in Windows 10, especially if you use it for long sessions with many open tabs.
The fact that your PC is slow or not responding completely is extremely annoying, so we welcome any move by Google to address these issues. Google continues to experiment with this feature, along with a few other fixes, and we should see a weaker and more reliable Chrome browser in 2021.
