A fire truck from New York, which rushed to the flames in Brooklyn, collided with another car before bursting into a shop window last Sunday, officials said.

Five firefighters were taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center and listed as stable after the 11:29 p.m. crash in the borough’s Gravesend neighborhood, authorities said.

The FDNY truck was less than two miles from its destination, a fire on 8750 Bay Parkway, when it collided with a car and then entered Coquette Kids, a children’s clothing store on 439 Avenue U, officials said. .

The driver was injured and taken to Maimonides Medical Center with minor injuries, according to FDNY.

Six residents of the apartments above the store were evacuated if the building was not stable, a representative of the city’s building department said.

The agency ordered the complete release of 437 and 439 Avenue U, saying the property could be unsafe “because of the truck that hit it” and “caused extensive damage.”
