Festivus and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick marked the day by expressing dissatisfaction at Wednesday morning’s press conference.

During a news conference Monday, Belichick said “we’ll see” when asked about starting Jarrett Stidham as a defender in place of Cam Newton in the final two games of the season. Wednesday’s press conference posed an early question on the same subject, and Belichick said he has no desire to discuss the plan at this position.

“We don’t answer that question every day,” Belichick said. I’ve been through this for a month. . . . How about I let you know if we’re going to make a change? “

It’s been a long time since Belichick had to ask questions at the end of December about the young players’ looks, rather than post-season plans, and it doesn’t look like the change is a holiday wish that has become a reality for the Patriots head coach.
