Almost all of Puerto Rico has a critical risk of COVID-19, with 73 municipalities in the red

Department of Health published this afternoon the weekly report on the transmission of COVID-19 to Puerto Rico, which revealed that there are already 73 municipalities with a high level of virus transmission.

In one week, a total of 11 municipalities were added to the list of red levels of infections.

The town halls of high transmission are Attached, Aguadilla, Aguas Buenas, Aibonito, Arecibo, Arroyo, Añasco, Barceloneta, Barranquitas, Bayamón, Cabo Rojo, Caguas, Camuy, Canóvanas, Carolina, Cataño, Cayey, Ceiba, Ciales, Coamo, Comerío, Corozal, Culebra, Dorado, Fajardo, Florida, Guayama, Guayanilla, Guaynabo, Gurabo, Guánica, Hatillo, Hormigueros, Humacao, Isabela, Jayuya, Juana Díaz, Juncos, Lajas, Lares, Las Marías, Las Piedras, Loíza, Luquillo, Manatí, Maricao, Maunabo, Mayagüez , Moca, Morovis, Naguabo, Naranjito, Orocovis, Patillas, Ponce, Quebradillas, Rincón, Río Grande, Sabana Grande, Salinas, San Germán, San Juan, San Lorenzo, San Sebastián, Santa Isabel, Toa Alta, Toa Baja, Trujillo Alto , Utuado, Vega Alta, Vega Baja, Yabucoa and Yauco.

While four municipalities they are in substantial transmission level. These are: Aguada, Cidra, Peñuelas and Villalba.

No municipality on the island is located in moderate transmission.

The only one in reduced transmission until this week is the island of Vieques Municipality.

In this context, schools in Puerto Rico continue in a completely virtual way at the behest of the Department of Health.

Currently, there are 279.72 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 inhabitants of the island.

Puerto Rico is at a critical level of risk, and the positivity rate continues to rise. Today, it amounts to 14.10%.

Health reported an additional 418 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 146 probable cases on Tuesday. While 11 additional deaths were reported.
