Abel Martínez travels to Baní to promote his presidential aspirations

The mayor of Santiago, Abel Martínez, met in the municipality of Baní with the mayors and directors of the district councils of the Valdesia region, which are made up of the provinces of Peravia, Ocoa and Azua, as well as local leaders of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), to whom he presented the presidential project at the 2024 national elections.

Martínez assured that the launch of his presidential proposal at such an early date only aims to strengthen the presence of his party in the consciousness of the population and to convey the message of the great governing activity that the PLD carried out.

He highlighted the progress in the governments of Danilo Medina, economic stability, the creation of the extended school day, the 911 system, among other works.

Similarly, he criticized the fact that in the 20 years of government, PLD has distanced itself from society, errors that he assured will be corrected in this new way that “that organization travels from this IX Congress that it is in its final stage ”.

He took advantage of the event to ask the government of President Luis Abinader to allocate and deliver more resources to the country’s municipalities, which he said are going through a very bad time in their administrations due to lack of economic resources and commitments. in front of the municipality.

Martínez threw it at the current government because, in his opinion, “I don’t know how to govern” and gave as an example the agricultural producers of carrots, peppers, onions and others, which he says they give their crops because they do not have a fair market or prices, while the basket family is growing and the prices of items in the construction industry are rising every day, as well as fuels and others.

Abel Martínez was accompanied by members of the PLD Political Committee; former senator of Mayor Hato, Rubén Cruz; Rafael Hidalgo, former mayor of Azua and former president of the Dominican Federation of Municipalities (FEDOMU) and members of the Central Committee, among other personalities.

Also present were Ramon Santos, President of the Municipal Districts of the Dominican Federation (Fedodim); the mayor of Matanza, Susy Pérez; Yeison Guerrero, of Santana, among other directors of the district councils of Baní, Ocoa and Azua, as well as councilors and members of the Valdesia region and middle leaders of the PLD, among others.
